As an artist I feel as though there's no limit as to how an artist can express oneself. We can share our thoughts, feelings, and our imagination will the world in a way that few can. Whether it be the visual arts, theater, music, poetry, dance, or writing we have a gift that can take us far in the coming future. The arts have played a valuable role throughout human history and it still has just as much potential to shape the future. However there is one thing, as artists, that  an and will hold us back and keep us from our full potential as shapers of the world. It's something that most probably wouldn't even give a second thought but for me is one of the most important things that can give us an unlimited access to our potential development. It's something that can either give you freedom or for lack of it become your prison. All forms of the arts have it, even if they might overlook it. It's our very foundation, our principles! It's something that just some just can't ever get the hang of. Of course I'm referring to the "BASICS".
I mean what else could I have been referring to of course? The basic fundamentals of line, form, value, color, texture, and so on. For anyone that took art in high school that didn't treat it like a crafts class were taught these basic principles of composition. They are the building blocks of ever great work of art since the great painters of the Renaissance and before. I'm sure that some of you, my fellow deviants, have gone to art school and have had this stuff drilled into you so much that every time you start anew piece you don't even have to think about it. It just comes naturally to you. Now I'm aware of people out there who just like myself have always taken to the visual arts as a way of telling the world who we are whether we had training or not, it was something that was our own and no one else's. But some over the years from the reality of life have turned away from it because unlike the rest of us they were never given the opportunity to see how far they could take their imaginations. My love of the arts only depends with the passage of time.
However I feel that without knowing the basics you are confined to just going wherever someone else's whims take you. You're just also g for the ride. Now I'm not calling out people who do fan art of their favorite anime, manga, or American comics, that would mean I was degrading myself as well. No the ones I refer to are the copy cats out there who have probably never even had an original idea or are even capable of expressing their views on anything without it being something they heard from or seen somebody else say or do. They have no clue as to what they are capable of if they would just stop and chill long enough to take the time away from all the non-stop attacks on their free will and their ability to think for themselves they would be open to new possibilities that are just waiting for them to see.
Well with what might seem to be an incoherent rambling about basics and other things, I think I will call it a night.

God Bless you guys and all my love!
Until next time.

P.s. I think the next time I could maybe do a crash course on the Fundamentals of Art as I have learned and studied them over the years! I look forward to it!! ^_^
